Nothing but music - the endless post?

This is an ever changing and (hopefully) expanding list of some of the songs I have mentioned before in this blog or simply stuff I have found somewhere on the web that I find interesting, but have no time to write about. All files have been found somewhere in cyberspace (and NONE of them have uploaded by me, so I cannot help you with any requests you might have - just keep returning and something new might pop up), so they will be available until the artists, record labels, fans, whatever decide to remove them. Thanks to a few readers, I've just finished yet another round of cleaning up (actually I'm doing this more or less all the time). But please leave a comment if some of the links are no longer working, and I will do my best to remove them as quickly as possible....

If you are interested in finding even more songs than the ones I have listed below, these links will provide you with lots and lots of free AND legal mp3's - I really hope you'll enjoy the list!!

that battle song is actually 'tendency', rather than 'battle'. i think where you got it from must've been mislabelled.

Nice post but damn you need to get a new host or server or whatever is responsible for speed. I may be on dial-up but I've never experienced a slower server ever.

I had a problem with the Figurines "The Wonder" link.

Great list of songs!

Thanks

Lindsay said...

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the first link "Is This Love?" seems to be broken.

You can't "deep link" to Matador Records (New Pornographers), so that link doesn't work. But readers can go to this website: Matador Records -New Pornographers.

Wow wow and wow.

I don't know all the artists on your list but ALL [no exaggeration] of the ones I do recognise, I love.

So I think it's a safe bet to assume I'd like all the others.

I have taken note.

Fantastic list. Check out MP3 4U too - i've been posting there for years now. there's a lot of good stuff there. the amount of good music we'll never hear far exceeds the amount we will hear, that is, unless we'll live forever, which is unlikely. so, it makes no sense at all to spend a minute listening to crap! thanks for this excellent post.

I gotta say, I wasn't planning on commenting until i saw the Fruit Bats. I've haven't given them much thought since about '03. thanks for re-igniting interest in a lot of music I let slip away.

Great post! I think it is so handy that you have compiled a list of your featured artists, songs, and record labels. It makes it so much more user friendly for people who are new to the site and want to know what it's all about. It's handy to find the things you want and leave out the things you don't. So great job! I absolutely love the variety as well (Fleet Foxes, Sia, Sufjan remix...).

Anonymous said...

hey...great post of abunch of bands no one's heard of (ok,maybe a few) blogs are the only reason bands like these are getting attention.and why not, after all the 2000's is the lowest record release and money making decade in music history.and with all these crappy indie bands with band names that sound like movie titles or "statements",rather than actual band names, its no wonder the industry sucks.

hipsterhomo said...

As i said before, this post is AMAZING! i spent months going through and downloading them all.

But now that i've done that...how can i find out what's new? Is there anyway you can somehow designate the new ones?

Thanks!

hipsterhomo said...

You ROCK! I can't tell you how happy i was to see that you have a nifty symbol to designate newer entries! Now i can keep being exposed to awesome music. You are definitely my favorite music blogger. Thanks for all of the hard work! wally
