1. Nirvana - Nevermind
2. Coldplay - X&Y
3. The Libertines - The Libertines
4. Oasis - Definitely Maybe
5. U2 - The Joshua Tree
6. Radiohead - OK Computer
7. The Beatles - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
8. Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
9. Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks
10. The Smiths - The Queen is Dead

What do you think?

Before someone insists on pointing this out to me - yes I know that I'm the lucky (?) owner of 9 of those albums!

i own each and every one of them, although i hate nirvana and bought that one when i was really young cause someone told me i should own it.

I agree with Nirvana, Libertines, U2 and Sex Pistols (although it's not bad - for their time). I definetly DISAGREE with The Smiths, Coldplay, Radiohead and Oasis. Oh and The Beatles are great either. :-)

-Nirvana... agree; always liked Pearl Jam better! ;)
-Coldplay... agree; wouldn't agree if it was one of the other albums.
-Libertines... semi-agree; but it IS after all a damn fine album!
-Oasis... disagree!
-U2... well... it's definitely not their best (we all know it's Achtung, Baby!), but overrated? I don't think so...
-Radiohead... disagree!!!
-Beatles... BIG FAT DISAGREEEEE!!!!!
-Beach Boys... agree! (never found out why this should be one of the worlds best albums! :\ )
-Sex Pistols... no comment! Not really interested in the band...
-Smiths... think I'll disagree as well. Although I haven't listened to it very much, it seems like a good one.

Now when you say overrated... do you mean that it isn't the "must have" that everyone says?

I have always enjoyed Nirvana. I liked them as a group... I enjoyed "Bleach" better.

Coldplay, I can take them or leave them...

I haven't heard of the libertines

Oasis, U2, Radiohead, Beatles, and beach boys... I'll totaly agree with you on that one.

Sorry... I'm a punk at heart and love the Sex Pistols... I think that that album is a "must own"...

And the Smiths? I think "Louder Than Bombs" was better. "The Queen Is Dead" sure is a staple if you are a Smiths fan.
