After a few days of consideration, I've decided to resign from my job. It has given me plenty of time to maintain this blog, but when you wake up in the morning and feel that you'd much rather jump in front of a train than go to work, something has to be done! What the future will bring I don't know yet, but I'll keep you posted...

Wow, that's a rather tough and quite a brave decision! Hope you'll find a more fulfilling job in the nearest future!
Thanks Peter - hopefully it won't turn out to be a stupid decision!
Good luck in your nearest future!
Hope you´ll fine a new job very soon.
The life continue!
I know that feeling... it has always been a very reliable sign for me to change something, too. I keep my fingers crossed for you that you'll soon find a job that suits you better!
Good luck dude, work sucks. I think there's thousands of bloggers all over the world in boring office jobs who maintaine these kinda music blogs. It's the only thing that gets me in on time, hee hee
Hi Morton, I can understand this well and keep the fingers crossed.
congrats and good luck!
I, too, want to wish you good luck.
As someone who's changed careers a couple of times, please take this opportunity to go after what you really want to do. Don't get stuck in another job, just because you feel obligated to your family, etc.
It's, of course, important, to provide for them, but don't let that stop you from pursuring your dreams either. If you're happy in your new endeavor, it'll make everyone around you happy too.
it takes alot of strength to do that, congrats for following whats best for you!
congrats and best of luck. at the moment my horrendous boss is trying to force me to quit and saying that i dont work enough for him to pay me full time. wanker. he is also the same brilliant man that told me that if you really love music dont get into the music industry. enough word vomit. wish you the best of luck- everything always works out for the best.
I know how you feel, I am pretty much at the end of the line with where I currently work. Not that it is particulary horrible place, just very boring and full of people who couldn't give a toss. I would love to jack it in and concentrate of blogging full time but it'd be hard to survive on €100 a year!
