Today I'll be busy listening to:

We Are Scientists - With Love And Squalor
It will be interesting to learn if this is another overhyped band or if they really are any good!
One listen and this album definitely leaves a good first impression. Not groundbreaking music at all, because the band follows in the footsteps of several other bands we've been introduced to the past few years (e.g. Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, The Arctic Monkeys). Luckily We Are Scientists are a whole lot better!

Oops - These guys sneaked in. Two-piece guitar and drum band Blinded By Underpants (what a horrible name) called their music indie surf rock. Unfortunately the band no longer exists, but if you need to listen to some energetic stuff to get you started, this could very well be it!

VETO - There's A Beat In All Machines
The debut album has received lots of positive reviews in native Denmark. I've only listened to 4 songs so far, but I was quite impressed with what I heard.
3 listens later and I'm still quite impressed. The album is not very immediate (more specifically it's quite complex) and it requires some work getting into it. However it's still a surprisingly fine debut, which probably will be a frequent guest in the car stereo in the next couple of weeks. If you haven't done it already and want to know what all the fuss is about I strongly recommend that you download You Are A Knife [MP3]
