A trio of videos has reached me (through various sources) and since neither of them are even close to reaching the number of views they deserve, I thought I should help adding one or two views to their totals by posting them. Enjoy the videos or if you're not into videos at all, just close your eyes and simply enjoy the songs instead, as all three of them are indeed (you've guessed it) immensely enjoyable!

Dry your eyes and watch my ship go down...
Had last week off from work and as the blue eyes optimist I am, I seriously expected that there would be enough time for writing a blogpost or two. But fatherhood, husbandhood, hanging around the hood, whateverhood, sure is a full time job, so there was no time left for that kind of fun.
So as always following a break (be it short - be it long) there is plenty of stuff piling up.
I bet the whole world knows this already, but consider this a service message for the few, who doesn't. There's a new Arcade Fire video out and a new album coming up.
Danish (who's behind this?) one-man project I Am Noxious is busy working his butt off in the studio (or so we are led to believe) recording new songs. But has nonetheless found enough time to give an older demo track (don't think the first version was ever available online?) an overhaul. Watch My Ship Go Down is described as "a lo-fi pop tune about Friday Nights", although I'm not totally convinced if the term "lo-fi" really fits in this case? A fine, rather catchy and slightly experimental electronic pop tune is probably somewhat more accurate ...I guess!
Another fine and equally interesting Danish electronic pop act It's A Synth is rather busy these days as well and this past weekend the band launched their new website; thereby publishing a few new tracks for us to stream. With a declared ambition of creating "big exciting four-minute floor fillers and epic evolving soundscapes" the new tracks (being uptempo, haunting and energetic) certainly verifies that the band is heading in the right direction.
Their first album aside, I cannot recall ever being a fan of Texas (the band). Always thought that this was a band for girls pretending they were listening to rock music, when they were actually listening to some seriously soft shit. But new single Dry Your Eyes is surprisingly enjoyable and highly recommendable. Not that surprising really when learning that the song was co-written with long-time blog favorite Richard Hawley and it does indeed sound remarkably like something that Mr. Hawley could have recorded himself.

Løst og fast...
Lidt blandede bolcher her på faldrebet før jul. Muligvis dukker der en lille jule- og/eller nytårshilsen op medens vi endnu skriver 2012. Muligvis ikke, så dette kan (muligvis altså) være årets sidste indlæg. Så glædelig dit og data og så videre til alle jer to, som kigger forbi hver anden uge!
Nyt nummer med VETO kan streames via SoundCloud. Kan ikke helt blive enig med mig selv om det alene skyldes Troels' stemme, men synes Battle lyder meget VETOagtigt (du ve' så'n, elektronisk, svedigt og svingende), hvilket vel er svært at indvende noget imod?
Stream det glimrende nye nummer Bring It On med It's A Synth (og det er sørme også via SoundCloud). Fra bandets kommende album, der gerne skulle udkomme til marts næste år. Fundet via Gaffa's MPjule3-kalender!
Har besluttet, at min første handling i det nye år skal være at slette samtlige mails i inboxen (21.562 styks per dette øjeblik) og starte på en frisk. Så vil du mig noget, så vent, vent, vent...Dette vil givetvis betyde, at et eller andet på niveau med guld vil gå min næse forbi, men vælger i stedet at se positivt på det, da det vel også må medføre, at jeg samtidig slipper for at stikke samme næse ned i bunker af det argeste lxxx...
Siden hvornår er Mad World blevet en "traditional Christmas song"? Åbenbart ved at udskifte "birthday" med "christmas"? Et eller andet sted er det vel ikke i orden?
Nu vil jeg hjem og holde juleferie...

There is a reason...
I’ve been nagging Andreas of Danish band It’s A Synth a few times recently asking for new tracks, as I’ve “grown tired” of listening to the same pair of tracks that’s been available for some time now. So far the band has been somewhat reluctant to share any new recordings, holding the cards close to the chest. But the other day he recalled that a third track had actually been uploaded a few months ago to the sangskriver (songwriter) page at DR, where it had received some pretty decent feedback from Tim Christensen (yup – that TC). The song has now been uploaded to SoundCloud as well, thus increasing the number of songs available by a staggering 50%! As always I’ll let the music speak for itself, but there is a reason (pun intended) for the band name…not sure if more songs are in the making, but they are definitely busy making plans...
