What a terrible, terrible band name Swedish House Mafia is. But Save The World is a really nice, catchy dance pop tune, so I guess I can live with the name...?As always I've been living under a rock or something, because the band has close to one billion fans on Facebook. So hardly new stuff this and probably something that most people are tired of already...

As per usual I didn't make a year-end list for 2010, but had I made one, The Suburbs would no doubt have been my album of the year. This is a fantastic but rather disturbing video.

On the radio this morning...
Dance pop is not something I normally feature around here, because as catchy as those songs might be, they often get real tedious after a few listens. However this is one of the few exceptions (to me at least) and even though you've been bound to hear it at least once every day (radio, TV, shopping mall etc.) the past couple of months, I thoroughly enjoy it every time!
I'm not chaste or anything, but they need to make a new video for the song!

Not In Love by this rather interesting constellation has been chosen as the "unavoidable" track of the week by Danish P3. The track is free to download at RCRD LBL and I can only recommend that you grab it! No "real" video seem to be available, so this will have to do!

Almost impossible to express how much I’m looking forward to the concert tonight. As Anyone’s Ghost was on just before 7 o’clock this morning the timing of P3, once again, was impeccable.
If you didn’t download the cover by Silver Swans of the track the first time I posted it, this is your (second) chance. Not half as good as the original version, but that has more to do with the quality of the original.

On the radio this morning...
Rather surprised to hear this one as it was released (made available to the public) less than two weeks ago. Mind you that P3 in one of the largest radio stations in Denmark with a share of 34% of the listeners between the ages of 12 and 50. But still they continue having their fingers on the pulse and unlike the commercial radio stations they are not afraid of playing upcoming and somewhat lesser known (to the masses) acts. That said; they did play Lady Gaga as well this morning, but no way am I going to post anything by her.

I never waste an opportunity to rip Depeche Mode, as I seriously think that they’ve only released two decent songs the past 20 years (one / two). But in 1990 (and before that) it was a completely different story. Back then they hit it often and they hit it hard!

It's "play-Danish-music-day", so there'll be nothing but music by Danish artists on the radio today. When scanning the playlist I cannot help being somewhat impressed by the number of fine artists we have in our small country!
