Indie MP3 "discovers" Tellus about the Moon.
+ Wwwm
From March 24 the new single Seventh Heaven by Scottsmen AirSpiel will be available as a free download from the band's webpage. And what a mighty fine new baby it is.
One of the sad stories of last year was the split up of the talented trio Port Largo. Now Caspar of the band has created his own solo project called A Graceless Phrase and already has 3 fine tunes to offer as free downloads.

The Sound of Arrows has just been signed by Labrador, and you really need to look no further than the new track Danger! to understand why!

The end of Port Largo...
Yesterday I received the bad news that talented Danish electro/synth-pop trio Port Largo has decided to call it quits. I've been waiting for news from the band for some time, but this certainly wasn't what I expected. Earlier this year the band re-recorded two tracks for a promotion CD under the guidance of producer Carsten Heller (Nephew, Spleen United etc.) and since the result of that collaboration was pretty good, I thought that the band would soon be picked up by a record label. Sadly this wasn't the case, and the band is no more, citing musical and artistic differences as the reason for the unexpected break-up. As a last kind gesture Port Largo is giving away the two before mentioned promo tracks for free from the band's Myspace profile. Give them a listen and I'm pretty certain that you'll agree that the world missed out on a really great band!May 29, 2007
Myspace updates...
Here are some of the comments and news I have received over at Myspace the past week:
Song To The Siren will release their 3rd EP called A Machine Like Me tomorrow.
+ These Days
Bahnhof has shot a video for the first single Speed from the debut album Reverse. The band has also been so kind to send me a copy of the album, and so far I'm really enjoying it!
Mushi wants a little help picking his next single. Go there and leave your vote.
Excellent Florida band The Monday Photo promises to have some new songs ready very soon.
+ Fall
And so does equally great UK band Kni9hts.
+ Coastal
Port Largo has recorded a fine new version of Breakdown In Fiction produced by Carsten Heller (Nephew, Spleen United etc.). I'm unsuccessfully pushing for a free download, but will keep you posted if anything happens.

Another State of Mind...
Danish electro pop/rock 5-piece Port Largo has made the excellent track Another State of Mind available for free download over at Myspace and at MyMusic.dk. The song sounds like New Order meeting Spleen United in the Kling Klang Studio, with Jonas of Mew taking care of the vocals.+ Another State of Mind

I Love Thursdays:
Why? Probably lots of reason why, but at least I know of these two reasons why I think this Thursday is great:
1. It's Friday tomorrow (meaning that the weekend is not far away). Luckily this is the case every week :-)
2. An episode of the TV-series Waking The Dead is aired tonight.
Lots of music arrived in the mail yesterday. Actually too much to list (4 albums, 1 sampler and 3 EPs), but I'll try (no promises) to mention the stuff along the way when I've listened to it!
Among the albums was the much anticipated Mafia by playful Danish electro, indie, alternative, noise-rock (and so on) band EPO-555 and the first impression is very positive. The band will perform at the SXSW festival tonight, so if you're among the fortunate people being somewhere in the neighborhood, don't miss this fantastic opportunity! Stream 3 songs from the album at the band's webpage or download Harry Mämbourg [mp3].
I strongly recommend that you visit the blogs of Chris and Peter, because as always lots of interesting stuff can be found there! They have recently introduced me to bands like Faunts, E.Z. Basic, Amber Smith, All Mighty Whispers, I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness and......Since I wrote this they have both added more interesting stuff!
Super blog It's A Trap mentions/offers No I In Team [mp3] by The Alpine and It's Not The End Of The World [mp3] by Le Sport. Great stuff!
Two songs by The Raveonettes are available for download at Myspace. Please You [mp3] and Bubblegum [mp3].
If you're interested in listening to the debut album Attention Please by Mads Langer, which will be released on Monday, you can stream it here.
Looking around yesterday I found Danish electro pop/rock band Port Largo. It might take a listen or two getting used to the voice of the lead singer, but the music is definitely interesting!
Breakdown Into Fiction [mp3]
King Of Great [mp3]
Stop [mp3]
Steph - thanks for the nice comment the other day! Wanted to write an e-mail, but couldn't find an address, so receive the thank you this way instead!
