Two tracks...
Two new and really interesting tracks found at Soundcloud. To The Night by Earth First (cannot find any fanpage/webpage, though a little info can be found on bandcamp) will be the lead track (?) on the upcoming 7" single to be released by Cloudberry Records. And is every bit as sweet, charming and wonderful a song as one would expect to find on a Cloudberry release! The second track is a new recording by Danish electronic/experimental act Altmodisch. More straightforward and far catchier than I ever imagined it would be; so quite a positive surprise!

Black Tulips...
New 7" single release is coming up on Cloudberry Records. It's by Sweden's Youngfuck and lead track (a-side/whatever) Black Tulips is (quite obviously since the band is from Sweden) a gorgeous little pop gem.

Various...
Psychic Powers has announced that the band’s stunning debut Infinity will see a physical release on CD via Dryden St. (yay!). No information available on when it's out and how to order it…yet!

The drooling continues. Check this excellent (and rather classic indie pop) track by Persian Rugs; another band performing at NYC Popfest in May. In May as well the band's debut (?) single Always All will be out on 7" vinyl via Cloudberry Records.
+ Always All
Posted new track 1987 by Starring Me the other day, but what I didn’t know back then was that an album seems to be in the making. I recommend that you follow the band on Facebook and stay informed, instead of relying on my most unreliable updates.
+ 1987
Warpaint shares this remix of Undertow. Pretty weak, isn’t it? But at least it provides me with the opportunity to post the epic original version.

All smiles...
Not promising anything, but will try to be less grumpy today. I do enjoy being grumpy though!
Sink/Let It Sway is the first promo track of the forthcoming Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin album Let It Sway (available for preordering now) and it’s pretty darn good! OK! Not as fabulous as the glorious Oregon Girl, but still plenty to make one starve for more!
+ Sink/Let It Sway

Chris posted the monthly new track by Viola a few days ago and today I'm going to do the same. Why? Because the sun is shining, thus making me hope that it will be summer after all! And the upbeat Popsicle Summer really makes one long for the summer and therefore is a lot more listenable when there’s an outside chance of the summer actually being on its way!
+ Popsicle Summer
Roque (of Cloudberry Records) interviews Danielle, who was one of the organizers of Copenhagen Popfest. As you may recall, I thought that the Popfest was a smash and apparently chances are good that there will be a 2011 edition as well. That’s good news if you ask me! And here's to hoping that Roque will be able to go next year!
Hopefully it's no secret that the aforementioned Cloudberry Records is a true treasury, when you’re in need of a good pop song. Here's a perfect example taken from a recent release.
+ The Sunbathers – Sea Change
And to all of you, who are feeling ignored. I currently have 2,842 mails in my inbox, so I do have plenty of work ahead of me…

Shorties...
Despite my initial disappointment with the new Kent single, I’m still planning to buy tickets for the band’s concert on March 13 next year at Copenhagen’s new venue Tap1. Tickets go on sale on Monday.
Four new tracks by The Electric Pop Group are now streaming at Myspace. Seems like the band’s second album Seconds will be out come November, but as usual the Matinée Recordings webpage hasn’t been updated for a while.
The soon to be released Whatsinsidewhatsoutside album by Danish indie-popsters Bodebrixen can be streamed in its entirety at Bandbase.dk.
+ Keychain
Now that the Turboweekend album Ghost of a Chance is being released abroad, the promo mails suddenly start arriving. I hate the way music is promoted in Denmark, because why didn’t I hear anything in March, when the album was released here?
+ After Hours
+ Something or Nothing
7" single How To Look Imploring by Horowitz will be out some time late November on Cloudberry Records.
+ How To Look Imploring
From the Labrador Records twitter account: "Sambassadeur just finished their upcoming single "Days". It definitely different from their previous work, but I'm sure you'll love it.". This is awesome news!

That title again! Sorry...
If their Twitter profile can be trusted, Northern Portrait is currently mixing their debut album. And of course it can be trusted (I sincerely hope).
+ I Give You Two Seconds To Entertain Me
7" single Turktown Saints by Socialist Leisure Party will be out on the incomparable Cloudberry Records tomorrow. Same band released the CD + 7" Tactical POP! for Coffee Cadets on Shelflife Records exactly one month ago today.
+ Turktown Saints
Boxstr.com hasn't been working for I don't know how long. Wonder if they'll refund the money I've paid for their so-called "services"?
Should have mentioned previously that fab Danes Spleen United are currently performing shows in the States. If you happen to be in L.A. tonight or tomorrow or in N.Y. on the 26th make sure to catch them.
+ She Falls In Love With Machines (Vhs or Beta Dee Jays Remix)
+ Running Up That Hill (Kath Bush cover with The William Blakes)
Cannot say I'm a fan of this band, but Private is offering free downloads of several remixes of the track My Secret Lover. And will always be a fan of free downloads!

Meet You In The Rain...(an experimental post)...
Yes – I know some of you will disapprove, but today’s post is written in Danish. Let's call it an experiment, but hopefully it will once and for all be a proof (to myself at least) that creating a blog post in Danish is just as much trouble and hard work as writing one in English? Let’s see!
+ The Cavalcade – Meet You in the Rain
+ Boa Constrictor – Out of Nothing
Helt igennem unyttig viden, men derfor meget pudsigt alligevel!
+ Disco! Disco! (Youth Back To Balearia Remix)

This and That plus some That and This...
Been really busy at work the past couple of days, as I needed to prepare various materials for, what turned-out to be, a lengthy meeting yesterday. I’ve said it before and certainly don’t mind repeating it; I hate (H A T E) when the inferior things in life (work) start interfering with the important stuff (music and blogging). But work pays the bills, so I guess one has to give it top priority every now and then.
This is old news already, but I still believe it is worth mentioning that Green Day will finally follow-up American Idiot, as 21st Century Breakdown will be out in May. American Idiot was really nothing less than absolutely fantastic, but nonetheless I’ve decided to tone down my expectations to a very minimum, as those “risk of getting hugely disappointed” signs are out!
+ American Idiot (via Better Propaganda in case some nitpicker will argue that I'm not allowed to post it)
Jonas Jonsson, a.k.a. the man behind superb Swedish one-man project Bedroom Eyes, is currently spending lots of time in Norway recording a debut album. Apparently the location of the studio Ocean Sound Recordings is very scenic, so hopefully this will influence both the songwriting and the production. No words on when the album will be out or who’s expected to release it, though one could suspect that he plans to do it himself. The two previously released 4-track EP’s Valentine Vacancy and Embrace In Stereo are still free to download from the official webpage.
+ Motorcycle Daydream (Embrace In Stereo)
+ Norwegian Pop (Valentine Vacancy)
Still working on getting into the newly released Feel.Love.Thinking.Of. album by Faunts. I'll refrain from saying that I'm disappointed, as I'm not sure what my expectations really were. Though I probably didn't anticipate this to be something requiring time and work?
+ Feel.Love.Thinking.Of (Mexicans with Guns Remix)
Play People’s 7” vinyl single featuring the immensely catchy Goes Out will finally be out on Cloudberry Records on February 28. The band sorts of celebrate this by adding the brand new and equally catchy track Feel Good to their Myspace player. Streaming only I’m afraid.
+ Goes Out
More tonight... I hope!

More shorties...
One eye is weeping and one eye is laughing. Ruined by Martin has finally announced a live date. The band’s debut concert will take place on April 25 at Lades in Copenhagen. This is news that I’ve been waiting impatiently for, and then the first date collides with a trip to Tallinn with the boys. But hopefully this is just the first of many live dates to come? If RbM is still unknown territory to you, 5 tracks are free to download from this post.
+ Kaiser Star
Lovely Swedish (somewhat jazz inspired) indie pop quartet Tower of Foil are (according to the band's myspace blog) busy recording, what should end up being their first full-length album. The entire back catalogue (well almost) is free to download from the band’s webpage.
+ Everlasting
Perhaps to celebrate their record contract, which I mentioned yesterday, Ginger Ninja is giving away a free remix of the track Red Lips at BandBase.dk.
+ Red Lips (We Know You Love It Remix)
According to their webpage; the venues for the White Lies concerts in the UK are being upgraded. No upgrade necessary in Denmark (yet), as tickets are still available.
The incomparable Cloudberry Records has just released a split 3 inch CD-R featuring Kevin McGrother and My Laundry Life. This is the purest of indie pop.
+ Kevin McGrother - A Week of Wednesdays
+ My Laundry Life - Sons & Guns
